Aquaspersions is a leading manufacturer and global supplier of high-quality aqueous dispersions and emulsions.
Aquaspersions Malaysia was established in 1992 to expand our capabilities in the region. Within a few years, a purpose-built factory was installed to supply the APAC region with increasing volumes. Our facility supplies an extensive range of industries but has a predominant focus on delivering dispersions to the glove and rubber markets.
Timeline
Aquaspersions is established
Aquaspersions was formed in Halifax, where our international HQ remains today. Since our formation we’ve been leading the way with the formulation and manufacture of high quality, water-based dispersions for the polymer, latex, adhesives and paints industries.
Expansion into Malaysia
We established Aquaspersions Malaysia to expand our activities in the region, although within just a few years a facility was needed to supply the wider Asia Pacific region, with a specific focus on the rapidly growing rubber gloves market.
A new Kuala Lumpur facility
We moved into a new purpose-built facility 30 miles north Kuala Lumpur, close to transport networks and the sea port of Port Klang. Strategically, the new manufacturing plant and increased production capacity gives us ease of access to the local glove and rubber industries.
Expansion at our Halifax HQ
Growing demand and increased sales led to the addition of new warehousing space at our Halifax site, freeing up space for further investment in 2019 with a 25% increase in production and manufacturing capacity. Both these key investments further boosted our reputation as a leading innovator and manufacturer of aqueous dispersions and emulsions.
Manufacturing in North America
Following a $7.5m investment in a new production facility in Broussard, Louisiana. We started manufacturing in North America,
The strategic purpose of this new plant is to supply critical components to the nitrile glove industry, thereby establishing for us a key supply base in the US.
