60% Zinc Oxide Dispersion is used as an activator for the curing system in the production of latex goods. Typical loading levels are in the region of 0.25-1.5 parts per hundred dry rubber dependent on the articles being produced. In the case of dipped latex products, consideration must be taken of the addition level of the Sulphur and/ or accelerator system employed, as the Zinc Oxide can have an effect on the modulus. It is the main vulcanizing agent used in the production of Nitrile gloves, addition level 1.0-3.0 phr.
